Hartford
Hartford Fire Chief Scott Cooney said his department received a report for a power line that had fallen and a small brush fire around 3:10 p.m.
Fire officials soon learned that a larger brush fire was burning further down the road. Both fires are believed to be the result of the downed line, Cooney said in a news release issued on Thursday.
Hartford struck a first alarm because of the fire’s proximity to homes. Lebanon, Hanover, Sharon, Woodstock and Hartland aided Hartford on scene.
