Lebanon, N.H. —
They had four children, Debbie Cadwell (Pete) of West Fairlee, Vt., Linda Lord (Neil) of Crystal River, Fla., Richard Gardner (Jeanne) of Lebanon and Tom Gardner (Linda) also from Lebanon.
Dad worked at the Enfield Woolen Mill then Timken of Lebanon where he retired. Following retirement, Dad and Mom sold their Enfield home, bought two campers, one in Thetford, Vt. and the other at Mouse Mt. Campground in Davenport, Fla.. where they spent winters and made many friends.
Dad was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He took his family on many camping vacations, loved to play games, taught us how to play cribbage and was a good provider.
Dad took up golf after retirement. He even had a hole in one. He belonged to the Carter Country Club and made many friends there. He especially enjoyed playing golf on the Wii with his son-in-law. He also belonged to the American Legion in Lebanon.
Besides his children, Charlie leaves five grandchildren, Steven Coutermarsh (Brandy) of West Canaan, N.H., Amy Davis (Mike), Jamie Adams (Mike), Jesse Lord of Lebanon, N.H., and Dana Lou of Crystal River, Fla.; and four great-grandchildren, Lily, Chloe, Brooke and Ayianna.
He is predeceased by his wife, parents and siblings, Eddie, Allan, Russell, Bill, Ethel, Grace, Caroline, Barbara, Micky and Emmaline.
The family would like to thank Westboro House, Alice Peck Day and Cottage Hospital for taking such good care of their dad.
At Dad’s request, family services will be held at a later date. Ricker Funeral Homes & Crematory of Lebanon & Enfield assisted the family with arrangements.
