The event, hosted by Upper Valley Trails Alliance, will include networking opportunities, “facilitated sessions,” and a tribute to departing Trail Programs Director John Taylor, according to a news release from the Norwich-based nonprofit. Many of the organization’s projects were “action items” identified by participants at previous forums, said Russell Hirschler, director of the Upper Valley Trails Alliance. Those include the Upper Valley Loop Trail, Mascoma River Greenway and Trail Finder, a free online database offering information about trails in the Twin States.
“We look forward to connecting with trail users and advocates, partner organizations and towns, trail managers, and others to help inform the trails and recreation community and the Trails Alliance about current and future needs,” Hirschler said. The discussions will cover trail ethics and conflicts, trail protections, community needs for trails and recreation, and “hot topics” in trail maintenance.
Burritos will be served. For more information, see www.uvtrails.org.
