Precious J, adoptable from the Upper Valley Humane Society

“My name is Precious J and I am a 1-year-old mixed breed dog. I’m very playful and energetic, so I would do best in an active home. I love squeaky toys and especially love to play in the water and go swimming.

“I am a smart girl with basic skills, but would love to have a family who could continue to help me learn. I would be good with children of any age.

“I am a little picky about other dogs and can sometimes play rough, so we’d need to do an introduction if you have another dog in your home.

“If you think I might be just right for you, come in to say hello!”

Precious J is up for adoption from the Upper Valley Humane Society, located at 300 Old Route 10 in Enfield and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Upper Valley Humane Society is also on Facebook and Instagram and can be reached at 603-448-6888.

Indie Kitty, adoptable from Sullivan County Humane Society

“I am 12-year-old Indie Kitty. I am a sweet boy that was surrendered when my family had to move and could not take me.

“Do not let my age fool you! I have had a complete workup and I am healthy. I even got my teeth cleaned! I had to get my hair cut because I was matted so I am 100 percent set for my new family.

“I am vet checked, neutered, treated for fleas and worms, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and microchipped.”

Indie Kitty is up for adoption from Sullivan County Humane Society, located at 145 Broad St. in Claremont. Please see hours on the humane society website at www.sullivancountyhumanesociety.org and Facebook. Call 603-542-3277 or email sullivanhumane@hotmail.com.

Pierre, adoptable from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society

“Bonjour! My name is Pierre and I’m a 6-year-old neutered male. As you can see, I’m incredibly handsome and my good looks have gotten me far in this life, but they have not gotten me adopted!

“I’m a particular cat that enjoys the finer things in life, like imported cat treats, cat nip and bottled water. No, they don’t give me bottled water here at Lucy Mackenzie, but they should! I’m a cat that deserves to be homed with only the most sophisticated of cat-owners that will tolerate my naughty behavior. And, by ‘naughty,’ I mean my little love bites and over-eating, etc., etc.

“Don’t worry — if you love cats, you will love me dearly. And in return, I shall love you, mon amour! If you’ve been looking for a feline to bring lots of smiles, laughs and love to your life, stop in and meet me today.”

Pierre is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.
