Ming, adoptable from Sullivan County Humane Society

This is not Ming’s first appearance in the feature. Sadly, 5-year-old Ming is now our longest resident. She was surrendered when her mom moved away and left her with a friend. Unfortunately, the friend had other cats and Ming does not like other cats.

Ming is sweet but definitely has her limits. She needs to go to a home with people who can read cat signals and know when Ming has had enough with getting attention.

She is vet checked, spayed, treated for fleas and worms, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and microchipped.

Ming is up for adoption from Sullivan County Humane Society, located at 145 Broad St. in Claremont. Please see hours on the humane society website at www.sullivancountyhumanesociety.org and Facebook. Call 603-542-3277 or email sullivanhumane@hotmail.com.

Punk, adoptable from Upper Valley Humane Society

“Hi! My name is Punk and I’m a chirpy 1 year-old black kitty. My friends here like to call me funky Punky, but that’s because I like to be silly! I can be a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you — with a few chin rubs and snuggles, I come right out of my shell.

“I’ve done OK with other cats I’ve met here, but might enjoy being the only cat in my new home. Dogs may be OK pending introductions. If you’d like a spunky gal, then come meet me today.”

Punk is up for adoption from the Upper Valley Humane Society, located at 300 Old Route 10 in Enfield and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Upper Valley Humane Society is also on Facebook and Instagram and can be reached at 603-448-6888.

Melody, adoptable from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society

“Hi! My name is Melody and I’m a 10-year-old spayed female. I came to Lucy Mackenzie after my owner died.

“Although things have gone really well here, and I’ve received some much needed medical attention, I can’t wait to find a new home of my own. I have a tendency to over-groom when I’m stressed, which leads to hair loss. I now take a daily medication to help ease the stress and it’s made a huge difference!

“I’d ideally like a more quiet household where I was the only cat. I love cuddles and attention, playing and treats. I love my naps and long for a nice spot of sun to be able to lounge in without a worry in the world.

“If you have room in your home and heart from a senior-cat that is really in need of a break, stop in and meet me today!”

Melody is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.
