June was born on June 15, 1930, in Hartford, Conn.
She will be greatly missed and remembered by her children: Sharon Peterson, Nancy Moore, Patti Lawson, John Downing, and Brenda Downing. June was preceded in death by her daughter Linda Frazier.
June is grandmother to 18, as well as great grandmother to several more beautiful children.
June loved life and people. She was cheerful and adventurous. She had the gift of wanderlust, and traveled from coast to coast, exploring and appreciating nature along the way.
She performed many differrent types of work, including: Sylvania Electric Co., Roseburg Plywood Co., Hewlett Packard, Mary Kay Cosmetics, and Hanover House. As a young girl she spent the summers in Livemore Falls, Maine, at the Timberlake family farm of her mother, Edith. She started her working days in the tobacco fields of Connecticut.
June liked to cook and garden and read. She liked to swim and hike, and just about anything outdoors. She loved frogs, flowers, birds, and children. She baked some of the best bread known to man!
June made a difference in the lives of many, and would advocate for rules of fairness and practicality. She made many friends in life no matter where she went.
She loved many, and many loved her.
June was kind, compassionate, and giving. She was, and will remain, an inspiration and example, for many.
A celebration of life for friends and family is planned for June, 2017, with details to be provided at a later time.
