The Wasps finished with a combined seven top-10 performances in slalom and giant slalom. Hartley Walker-Money won the slalom with a combined time of one minute, 14.63 seconds over two runs. Teammate Erik Weiss was third in the same event in 1:15:06, followed by Kyle Weirether in fourth at 1:15.68. John Holding took 11th and Elliot Shoemaker was 13th for the Woodstock boys.
Weirether added a second place finish in GS with a time of 27.71 seconds. Due to less-than-ideal conditions, the event was a winner-take-all, single-heat race. Walker-Money was fifth in GS in 28.46, followed by Holding in seventh, Weiss in ninth and Peter Borden in 13th.
Maggie Parker led the shorthanded Woodstock girls, who raced without four of their top peformers, with a fifth place showing in slalom (1:34.28) and sixth in GS (31.52). Chloe Noble was ninth in slalom (1:39.46) and 13th in GS (32.49). Alice Spurber took ninth in GS with a time of 32.05 seconds. Morgan Biele was 11th in slalom and 14th in GS. Lily Holding finished 12th in slalom and 16th in GS.
Elle Dixon led the Thetford girls, finishing 13th in slalom and 20th in GS. Jackson Hall was 17th in the boys slalom for the Panthers while teammate Tait Linehan was 19th in GS.

Austin Wins at Meet of Champs
Franconia, n.h.
Austin won the slalom with a combined time of 1:14.39 and took first in the GS in a combined 1:27.21. Maddie Austin added a fourth-place finish for the Lakers in the girls GS in 1:36.76.
Ellie Frederick was sixth for Sunapee in girls slalom at 1:30.29, and 10th in GS (1:39.44). Jackie Balch was seventh in GS in 1:37.55.
Hanover 51, John Stark 46
Weare, n.h.
Graham Penfield added 11 points for Hanover. Coach Tim Winslow praised the play of Penfield on the defensive end and of Charlie Goodrich for his effort off the bench.
Hanover shot 23-for-33 from the free-throw line. The hosts managed just six points from the line. The Marauders (9-12 overall, 8-10 NHIAA) will open the New Hampshire D-II playoffs on the road.
Lebanon 44, Bishop Brady 43
Concord
Lebanon receives a bye through the first round and hosts a quarterfinal contest March 11.
K.J. Matte had 19 points for the visitors. Milliken had 13 while also playing shut-down defense on the Giants’ Matt Quirk, holding the hosts’ leading scorer without a point during the second half. Coach Kieth Matte also praised the defensive work of Chris Nulty.
Rivendell 48, Blue Mountain 38
Orford
DeBois scored the first seven points of the game for the Raptors before picking up two fouls to force her to the bench for the rest of the first half. She would return after intermission with a vengence, draining a pair of 3-point shots while recording five of her seven steals during the second half.
Rivendell (14-6) will open the Vermont D-III playoffs at home next week.

Hartford led, 16-5, at halftime. Corey Lieberman and Natasha Lovell each added six points. The Canes (8-12) will likely be the No. 12 seed in the Vermont D-II playoffs.

MVCS built a 24-14 halftime lead over the Mountaineers (7-13). Danyelle Goodwin added 12 points for the Eagles. Hayley Mears had 11 points for Whitchester, which closed to within three points, 32-29, early in the fourth quarter.
“We made a pretty good game of it. We had opportunities; just couldn’t convert,” Mountaineers coach Dennis Wood said. “I’ve seen (MVCS) play a lot and they’ve given everyone a tough game. They just pulled it out tonight against us.”
Windsor 39, Fair Haven 35
Fair Haven, Vt.
Olivia Rockwood had 13 points to lead Windsor (17-3). Ashleay Wilcox had 10 points, including six during the fourth quarter.
“We’ve played a tough schedule,” Windsor coach Bruce Mackay said. “We’re getting better as the season has gone along. … Hopefully this gives us more confidence and helps us realize what we’re capable of.”

Emma Hudson led SoRo with 11 points. Grace Pease added nine, Mia Ryon had eight and Iris Hudson had seven.

Mullen, a senior from Wilder, was joined on the squad by teammates Tricia Doody, Emily Hichborn, Kailyn Lapham, Erika Leach and Jesse Murch. Student-athletes with a minimum 3.3 grade-point average through the first semester made the roster.
