Cincinnati — Jacob Evans III scored 12 of his 15 points during Cincinnati’s dominant first half on Thursday night, and the 15th-ranked Bearcats held on for their 25th straight home victory, 87-74 over Memphis.

Cincinnati (25-3, 14-1 American Athletic) led by as many as 24 points during its highest-scoring opening half in conference play this season, pulling ahead 51-32 at the break. The Tigers cut the lead to six points before fading.

Memphis (18-10, 8-7) has dropped a season-high three straight. Jeremiah Martin led the Tigers with 23 points and Dedric Lawson had 21 with 10 rebounds.

Lexington, Ky. — Makayla Epps scored the go-ahead basket with 8.7 seconds remaining in overtime and Evelyn Akhator had eight points in the extra session to give Kentucky (20-8, 11-4 SEC) a victory over Mississippi State (27-2, 13-2).

Akhator scored 22 points in the fourth quarter and OT to finish with 27 points.

No. 5 Notre Dame 82, Boston College 45

South Bend, Ind. — Lindsay Allen had 18 points and eight assists and Notre Dame overpowered Boston College.

The Fighting Irish (26-3, 14-1 ACC) dominated inside and never relented, winning the points in the paint battle 44-14 and finishing 10 blocked shots to the Eagles’ one.

No. 8 Florida State 79, Pittsburgh 48

Tallahassee, Fla. — Brittany Brown and Chatrice White each scored 13 points and Florida State (25-4, 13-2 ACC) rolled over Pittsburgh.

Leticia Romero and Imani Wright added 12 apiece for the Seminoles, who still have a chance for a share of the conference title.

Louisville, Ky. — Asia Durr scored 24 points, Myisha Hines-Allen added 21 and Louisville (24-6, 11-4 ACC) defeated Virginia for its fourth straight victory.

Blacksburg, Va. — Adrienna Motley scored a season-high 26 points, Keyona Hayes added 18 and Miami (20-7, 9-6 ACC) overcame a slow start to defeat Virginia Tech.

No. 18 N.C. State 80, North Carolina 60

Raleigh, n.c. — Dominique Wilson scored 19 points, Ashley Williams added 18 on six 3-pointers and North Carolina State (21-7, 11-4 ACC) started fast and cruised over North Carolina.

No. 20 Syracuse 85, Wake Forest 63

Syracuse, n.y. — Alexis Peterson scored 25 points, Briana Day had 17 points and 15 rebounds, and Syracuse (19-9, 10-5 ACC) beat Wake Forest.

No. 25 Michigan 88, Nebraska 60

Ann Arbor, Mich. — Katelynn Flaherty made five 3-pointers and scored 25 points and Michigan (22-7, 11-4) defeated Nebraska to clinch third place in the Big Ten.
