Man Who Shot Himself in Leg Pleads Guilty

Lebanon — A 25-year-old New Hampshire man who accidentally shot himself in the leg while seated inside a vehicle near the West Lebanon Cemetery over the summer pleaded guilty last month to a misdemeanor charge of carrying a handgun without a licence.

A Lebanon District Court judge sentenced Ivan Deutsch to two years of good behavior.

Deutsch, who lived in Lebanon at the time, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the August incident.

Deutsch was trying to unload the pistol when it discharged in his lap, police said.
