Lovely held off Farnsworth in an 11-8 decision to highlight the Tigers’ 51-30 dual-meet defeat of the Royals at Mascoma High School. The hosts also earned a 30-18 win over John Stark to complete the night.
In addition to Lovely’s win, Newport picked up pins at four other weights: Caleb Palmer (120), Joshua Almstrom (138), Tyler Sharon (160) and Michael Tremblay (195). Mascoma countered with pins from four spots: James Disbrow (113), Joe Stone (152), Lawrence Gibbs (220) and Tyler Bill (285), who remained unbeaten on the season with his defeat of Newport’s Tyler Hall.
Stark arrived with just four wrestlers. Anthony L’Heureux (126), Sean Boisvert (182) and Jacob Mitchell (220) won for the Generals, while Farnsworth got the fall on Damyon Rabbia in the first period for the Royals.
Mascoma and Newport head to a tournament on Saturday at Franklin.

Michaela Bernier and Chloe Schiff staked the home team to the two-goal lead after two before Kuhn went off. Her 15th, 16th and 17th goals of the year — and goalie Annabelle Lessard’s 19 saves — kept Woodstock within range of Rice at the top of the Vermont Division II standings.
The Wasps host North Country-Lyndon on Saturday.

Caitlin Gaudet accounted for Hartford’s other two goals, both of which drew Emily Ballou assists. Kendyl Boisvert also had an assist for the Canes, who rode 15 third-period saves from goalie Maggie Gilman to hold off the Raiders.
Gilman finished with 36 stops for Hartford, which is off until hosting Woodstock on Wednesday.

Isabella Harriman assisted on the goal. Goaltender Halle Drew made 29 stops on the Crimson Tide, which took the ice for warmups in Barber Strong gear in honor of recovering Lebanon-Stevens forward Julie Barber.
The Raiders (3-5-0) return to Campion Rink to host ConVal-Conant on Saturday.

Bobby Young (two goals), Roope Hirvonen and Mike Lombardi (goal and assist each) did the damage for Kimball Union. The Wildcats scored two unanswered goals in the third period to secure the victory. Goalie Sean Dynan played another strong game, according to assistant coach Matt Underhill.

Nate Chickering, assisted by Nate Gariepy, scored late in the first period to put Lebanon in front. Spaulding answered with a pair in the second period before Ian Garland scored on another assist by Gariepy to knot things up at 2-2.
“I’m really happy with the way we played. Proud of everyone. We had to shift our lines around unexpectedly but we handled it well,” Lebanon-Stevens coach Gary Smith said.
Goalie Jordan Hammond made 27 saves for the Raiders, who play at Kearsarge-Plymouth on Feb. 13.

“We had 35 shots on goal; we just couldn’t convert. We had seven good opportunities, just a difficult time finishing,” Hanover coach Dick Dodds said.
Goalie Luke Ratliff had 24 saves for the Marauders (10-5 overall, 7-4 NHIAA). Hanover hosts Manchester Central on Saturday.

With leading scorer Olivia Rockwood held to six points, guard Ashleay Wilcox picked up the slack with a game-high 17 points for the Jacks. Anika Abrahamsen “was a monster off the boards” as well, coach Bruce Mackay said.

Blakeney netted seven of her team-high 11 points after halftime, while Schultz posted eight of her 10 over the final 16 minutes. Combined, it helped Woodstock build from a 14-11 lead at the break.
Mariah Luce tossed in eight points and Emma Walker contributed six for Woodstock (4-7), which has a morning date with Bellows Falls on Saturday.

Riley Thomson led Rivendell with 15 points. Leah Rutherford added eight. The Raptors trailed by 12 at one point in the first half but came back to make it a tight game in the final few minutes.
Mikayla DeBois chased after a loose ball in the final minutes that went out of bounds before an official awarded the Raptors possession. DeBois countered the official to inform she had touched the ball last, awarding possession to the Chargers.
“You have to admire sportsmanship like that. That’s the kind of kids we have. I’ve never seen that in all my time coaching,” Rivendell coach Hank Tenney said.
The Raptors continue a string of away games with visits to South Royalton on Friday and Blue Mountain on Saturday.

Hartford outscored the Colonels, 10-1, in the final stanza to make it a nailbiter at the finish. Megan Bushway made four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points for the Canes. Morgan White added eight points.
“It was a tight, tight game. We played pretty well for the most part; we’ve just got to put our offense together and finish a bit better,” Hartford coach Troy Guerin said.
The Canes (5-5) host Burr & Burton on Saturday.

Adams also dished out seven assists and had three steals. Coach Tim Winslow praised the defensive work of Charlie Goodrich, who took numerous charges and helped set the tone for a strong team effort to hold the Falcons down.

Austins Sweep for Lakers

Maddie Austin led a 1-2-3 Sunapee sweep of the girls GS in 1 minute, 8.58 seconds, with Ellie Frederick (1:10.43) and Jackie Balch (1:11.44) right behind. Austin also claimed the slalom in 1:03.26.
Will Austin (55.09) topped Kearsarge’s Justin Norris (58.13) in the boys slalom, joined by teammate Riley Balch (1:04.87) in third. Austin also won the GS by more than four seconds in 1:02.63.
Isaiah Stephens had the best result for Newport, claiming sixth in the boys GS (1:12.25).
Kearsarge raced only in the afternoon slalom.

Strohbehn uncorked a pair of 30-meter jumps off Kennett’s K38 ramp, but Maloney’s style points resulted in a dead heat at 118.5 points each. Mason Winter (fifth, 108.5) and Sawyer Hanlon (10th, 103.5) also scored for Hanover, while Jasper Meyer and Dimitri Somoff were both 15th for the Marauders.
The Marauders’ Anna Dickson (29th overall, 77.5) and Sabin Mitchell (30th, 75) were 2-3 among the girls.
Will Austin, fresh from Alpine racing at Mount Sunapee, led the Lakers with a ninth-place result at 104 points. Lane Smith (T-19th, 88.5), Cameron Summerton (T-19th, 88.5) and Parker Reed (22nd, 83.5) also scored for Sunapee.

The Marauders boasted five double winners with Kristian Hansen (200 and 500 freestyle), Jack Wadsworth (100 butterfly, 100 backstroke) and Christopher Rieseberg (100 breaststroke, 200 individual medley) among the boys and Margaret Wenger (200 free, 100 fly) and Norina Manetsch (100 breast, 200 IM) among the girls. Ethan Adner (boys 100 free), Grace Wenger (girls 100 free) and Eliza Rodi (girls 500 free) also won for Hanover, which swept the 400 free and 200 medley relays as well.
Catherine Gavell had a big night for Lebanon, taking the 50 free and 100 back. Kayla Davis also swam well for the Raiders, taking second in the 100 and 200 free and third in the 50 free. The Raiders’ boys and girls added a sweep of the 200 freestyle relays.
Dartmouth Players Honored

Jasiek was tabbed as the men’s Player of the Week, while Crema was recognized as the conference’s Player of the Month.
A St. Louis native, Jasiek earned his recognition thanks to a two-goal, three-point effort in the Big Green’s comeback win at No. 14 Cornell on Saturday night in Ithaca. Jasiek scored a pair of power-play goals just 62 seconds apart more than halfway through the third period against the Big Red.
Crema was named the top player in the league over the first month of 2017 after leading the conference in goals (8) and points (13) as well as being tied with three others for the national lead in scoring during January. No player from the other 11 ECAC programs was within two of Crema in either category in that time.
