Tampa, Fla. — Zdeno Chara scored the go-ahead goal in the third period, Tuukka Rask made 18 saves and the Boston Bruins beat the Tampa Bay Lightning, 4-3, on Tuesday night for their first three-game winning streak since early December.

Boston also got goals from Patrice Bergeron, David Krejci and Frank Vatrano. Brad Marchand had two assists late in the second after possibly getting away with a penalty.

Alex Killorn scored twice and Brayden Point also had a goal for the Lightning, who are 3-8-2 in their last 13 games. Victor Hedman had three assists, and Ben Bishop 31 stopped shots.

Chara’s shot from the top of the left circle made it 3-2 at 7:51 of the third. Vatrano added a power-play goal later in the period.

Point got his goal late in the third.

After Bergeron tipped home Adam McQuaid’s shot 18:08 into the second, Krejci put Boston up 2-1 with 0.9 seconds left in the period.

Marchand assisted on both goals and has 20 points, including nine assists, over his last 13 games. It appeared he tripped Anton Stralman from behind with his leg with 2½ minutes left in the second, but no penalty was called.

Marchand avoided a suspension but was fined $10,000 by the NHL last Thursday for what the league termed “a dangerous trip” of Detroit defenseman Niklas Kronwall.

Killorn opened the scoring at 8:41 of the second and tied it at 2 early in the third.

Boston defenseman Colin Miller saved a goal in the first period when he swiped the puck off the goal line after Jason Garrison’s shot trickled past Rask.

Miller also had two assists.

Penguins 4, Predators 2

Pittsburgh — Patric Hornqvist scored twice, Matt Murray stopped 37 shots and Pittsburgh returned from the All-Star break with a win over Nashville.

Trevor Daley and Chris Kunitz also scored for the defending Stanley Cup champions, who had lost two in a row. Sidney Crosby picked up an assist on Hornqvist’s first goal for the 994th point of his career.

Islanders 3, Capitals 2

New York — Ryan Strome and Johnny Boychuk scored in the third period, Thomas Greiss made 28 saves and New York beat league-leading Washington.

Strome got his first goal since Dec. 31 to put New York up 2-1 6:31 into the period. Anthony Beauvillier stole the puck behind the Capitals net and passed it to Brock Nelson. The Islanders forward sent a quick pass to Strome, and he tapped it past goalie Philipp Grubauer.

Hurricanes 5, Flyers 1

Raleigh, n.c. — Sebastian Aho had his first career hat trick and added an assist, sparking Carolina over Philadelphia.

The win snapped a five-game slide for Carolina — with all the losses in regulation — and ended Philadelphia’s three-game winning streak.

Blue Jackets 6, Rangers 4

New York — Seth Jones scored twice, Alexander Wennberg had a goal and two assists, and Columbus led by six goals and held on to beat New York.

Brandon Saad added a goal and an assist, and Nick Foligno and Matt Calvert also scored for the Blue Jackets.

Devils 4, Red Wings 3

Detroit — Kyle Palmieri scored twice and Cory Schneider made 27 saves, helping New Jersey hold on.

Stefan Noesen gave the Devils the lead on their first shot 1:28 into the game.

Panthers 6, Senators 5

Sunrise, Fla. — Jonathan Marchessault scored the go-ahead goal late in the third period to lift Florida over Ottawa.

With the score tied at 4, goalie Mike Condon tried to clear the puck from behind the net but lost control of it. Marchessault grabbed the loose puck and poked it into the open net with 6:03 left to put the Panthers ahead, 5-4.

Canadiens 5, Sabres 2

Montreal — Max Pacioretty scored a hat trick, Carey Price made 37 saves and Montreal beat Buffalo.

David Desharnais and Paul Byron also scored for Montreal. Alexander Radulov and Phillip Danault each had two assists.

Jets 5, Blues 3
