The Oxbow girls got a boost from a familiar source. Izzy Giesing won the 600-meter run in 1 minute, 43.26 seconds and added sixth-place points in the triple jump (30 feet, 8 inches). Emily Carson was sixth in the 55 hurdles (9.71), and the O’s claimed third in the 3,200 relay (11:46.84).
The Oxbow boys gained the bulk of their points in the pole vault behind runner-up Jon Puffer (12-0) and fourth-place Harley Wescott (10-0). Abayomi Lowe had a big day for Hartford, taking second in the 55 dash (6.75) and third in the 300 (37.69). Ileana Sirois shared third in the 55 hurdles (9.36) for the Hurricane girls.
Meaggie Balch won the 1,600 meters (5:51.32) for the Thetford girls, who took ninth as a team. Noah Stommel was second in the 600 (1:30.69) and Caleb Davidson placed fourth in the shot put (39-4.5) for the Panther boys, who also gained fifth-place points from Sage Whitecloud in the pole vault (9-6).
Emily Smith had Windsor’s top result, a third in the girls high jump (4-7).

Kimball Union carried a 36-34 lead into halftime and a 62-61 edge with five minutes left. But the hosts had no answer for Wilbraham & Monson’s Chris Childs, who scored 28 second-half points to power the visitors.
