White River Junction — The Hartford High girls hockey team downed North Country-Lyndon, 3-1, on Wednesday night, thanks to a star turn from sophomore Jasmine Wilson. The forward scored during each period at Wendell A. Barwood Arena as the Hurricanes improved to 3-4-3.

“She was moving her feet and crashed the net hard and released the puck quickly,” said Hartford coach Marc Gattie, whose team visits Rice (7-2-1) on Saturday. “It wasn’t our best game, but we’ve got a real challenge Saturday.”

Wilson scored unassisted during the 13th minute and midway through the second period off passes from Morgan Pero and Cecilia Spaulding. The visitors halved their deficit with two minutes remaining before Wilson completed her hat trick with 80 seconds to go off a Caitlin Gaudet feed. Wilson has four goals and two assists this winter.

Jacqueline Gour made 10 saves for Hartford. North Country-Lyndon, which lost to Rice, 10-0, last weekend and 8-0 to Hartford in December, is 0-7.
