Lebanon — Firefighters and Irving Fuels technicians worked late Thursday night to stop a propane spill at the Rivermill Complex.

Lebanon firefighters were called to the complex on Mechanic Street at 9:43 p.m. on Thursday for a reported leaking propane tank, according to a fire department news release.

When they arrived, crews found a snow removal company had hit the top of a 1000-gallon fuel tank, breaking off the stem and causing a leak.

Firefighters deployed a hose and worked to disburse the vapors with water.

They remained on-scene until 10:40 p.m. with technicians from Irving Fuels, who worked to repair the leak.
