South Pomfret —  Vermont State Police are investigating a break-in at the Teago General Store this week where more than 25 unwrapped toys left in a Toys for Tots bin were stolen.

The burglar or burglars also took more than 20 packages from the attached U.S. Post Office that were waiting to be delivered to Pomfret residents, state police said in a news release today.

The United States Postal Service is also involved in the investigation of the break-in, which took place late Wednesday night or early Thursday.
