Voters in both Randolph and Corinth passed fire station-related articles during ballot voting on Tuesday night.

Randolph voters overwhelmingly approved a $2.4 million bond to build a new station in Randolph Village. The article sailed through, 1,486 to 646.

The fire station in that village, dating back to 1971, burned down in a fire in September 2015.

In Corinth, town officials now have the $32,000 they need to fund in-depth construction plans to prep a new fire station project for bidding. The article passed, 463-208.

Corinth officials hope to build a new $730,000 station on Fairground Road. The total project is expected to cost about $850,000; it still requires a bond vote.

Corinth currently has two aging fire stations; neither have running water or plumbing.
