Walpole, N.H. — Anne Vesper Bragdon Jamieson, 79, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at her home in Walpole. Born Jan. 8, 1937, in Swampscott, Mass., she was the daughter of Edward E. and Alice (Barrows) Vesper. After graduating from South Royalton High School, Anne cared for her aunt, Grace Barrows until her death in 1965. For the next sixteen years she worked for Dr. Albert Barcelow as an Optician. In 1981 Anne married Joseph L. Bragdon and together they operated funeral homes in Ellsworth and Stonington, Maine until his untimely death in 1994. In 1999 she married Lee F. Jamieson and in 2002 they moved from Maine to New Hampshire to be closer to both of their families. Anne was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She enjoyed her family, her friends, helping others, the out-of-doors and her garden.

Anne is survived by two nieces, Madeleine Manning and Andrea Taylor; two grand-nieces, Laurie Ballou and Bridgett Taylor; a great-grand nephew, David Ballou and great-grand nieces, Emily Ballou and Alexis Taylor-Young, all of South Royalton; one cousin, Kenneth Barrows of Massachusetts; eight step-children, Greg and Sandra Bragdon of Maine, Michael Jamieson of Maryland, Everett Jamieson of Michigan, Carol Jamieson, Bonnie Shuris, Deborah and Leah Jamieson, all of Massachusetts; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many friends. Besides her parents and first husband, Anne was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law James and Sylvia Ware.

A calling hour will be held Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, from 12 noon to 1 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:30 p.m., at the United Church of Bethel (brick church). Burial will be in the family lot at Riverview Cemetery in So. Royalton. In lieu of flowers, Anne requested that you give your time or financial assistance to help someone in need.
