Hanover — A 73-year-old Hanover woman was transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center on Tuesday morning after she was hit by a vehicle near the intersection of Lebanon and Brockway streets in Hanover.

Pamela Marshall was allegedly hit by Hanover resident Linda Wilkinson, 78, according to a news release issued Tuesday afternoon.

Hanover Police Lt. Scott Rathburn said preliminary investigation shows Marshall was in a crosswalk at the time.

Rathburn said he wasn’t sure how significant Marshall’s injuries were. A message sent to Dartmouth-Hitchcock wasn’t immediately returned.

Police are still investigating the incident. It is not yet known whether charges will be filed, Rathburn said.

A traffic detour was set up for nearly two hours. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Hanover Police Department at 603-643-2222.
