Burlington — For the fourth time this season the Dartmouth men’s soccer team played to a 1-1 draw, this time with Vermont on Saturday afternoon in front of an Alumni Weekend crowd announced at 1,710 fans.

With the tie, the Big Green are now 1-2-4 and the Catamounts are 8-1-1.

Big Green (1-2-4) goalkeeper James Hickok, needed to make just two saves, while Vermont (8-1-1) keeper Aron Runarsson made just one stop through 110 minutes.

Midway through the 27th minute, Dartmouth’s Jonathan Nierenberg netted his first goal of the season.

About 20 minutes into the second half, the Catamounts scored the equalizer when Jon Arnar Barodal hit Stefan Lamanna with a pass at the top of the box for the goal.

In overtime, each team registered three shots, but neither found the back of the net.

Men’s SoccerColby-Sawyer 2, Castleton 1

New London — Colby-Sawyer’s Denali Sexton and Jake Sykes scored 26 seconds apart as the Chargers (3-3-1, 1-0-1 NAC) defeated Castleton (1-5-2, 1-1-0).

Colby-Sawyer keeper Jake Towle made four saves.

Women’s SoccerColby-Sawyer 2, Castleton 2

New London — Lizzie Jorgensen and Rachel Quaye scored for Colby-Sawyer (1-5-1, 0-1-1 league), which drew Castleton (1-5-3, 0-1-1) in a matchup of North Atlantic Conference preseason poll co-favorites.

Field HockeyPrinceton 4, Dartmouth 0

Princeton, n.j. — Dartmouth (3-4, 0-1 league) was shut out by 13th-ranked Princeton (3-3, 1-0) in the Ivy League opener for both teams.

Princeton, the 11-time defending conference champ, finished with a 19-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Cat Caro scored a pair of goals and leads Princeton this season with five. The Tigers also got scores from Jane Donino-Enscoe and Nicole Catalino. Dartmouth goalkeeper Emma Plumb made 15 saves.

Women’s RugbyDartmouth 110, Columbia 0

Hanover — The Big Green crushed Columbia to improve to 3-1 this season and 2-0 against Ivy competition.

Dartmouth held a 43-0 lead at intermission before adding 67 more points in the second half.

In the last meeting between these two teams back in 2014, Dartmouth handily beat the Lions, 92-5.
