Kingston, n.h. — Nate Damren led the way for the Lebanon High golf team Thursday, finishing the Raiders’ victory over Sanborn and Kearsarge as the medalist with a 38 on Apple Hill Golf Course’s par 35.

Lebanon (13-1) now has its sights on Monday’s showdown at Canterbury Country Club against Bow, Derryfield and Belmont, the top teams in NHIAA Division III.

The Raiders edged Kearsarge by 13 strokes on Thursday. Kyle Pelletier shot a 42, while Hunter Marsh, Alex Bitler and Kevin Kiernan all finished at 43.

Joey Dupree finished with a season-best 47.

Team scores: Lebanon 166, Kearsarge 179, Sanbord 181.

Hanover Improves to 16-2

Hanover — The Marauders edged Bishop Brady and John Stark during their third match in as many days.

Grant Morhun, Matthew Suriawinata, Jasper Meyer and Christopher Sundaram all shot 41 on Hanover Country Club’s front nine, which is a par 34.

Finn Higgins and Rainer Nahabedian each shot 44.

“We had some players don’t usually get to play, some of our usual guys sat this one out,” said Hanover head coach John Donnelly, whose team is 16-2. “Jasper Meyer and Rainer played their best ever.”

The Marauders play Souhegan and Milford on the road on Tuesday.

Team scores: Hanover 208, Bishop Brady 226, John Stark 234.

Quechee — Freshman Ben French cleaned up a scramble in front and Jake Roberts added a penalty kick in the second half as the Eagles earned their second victory of the season.

Brandan Palmer made four saves for MVCS (2-3), which visits Black River on Thursday.

Rivendell 8, Chelsea 1

Chelsea, Vt. — Robert Burgwedel scored his first of three first-half goals during the 2nd minute as the Raptors jumped all over Chelsea for their third victory.

Burgwedel also added a second half assist. Collin Gould had a goal and an assist. Chris Gendron had a goal and a helper. Taiyo Galli and Max Haehnel had one assist each. Dashiel Fukushima had seven saves in goal.

“Our backs (Wiatt Suich, Griffin Formica, Haehnel and Noah Martel) played outstanding,” said Rivendell coach Bob Thatcher, whose 3-2 squad visits Williamstown on Tuesday.

Rochester, Vt. — The Mountaineers got offensive contributions from 11 different players on Thursday.

Zak Gillette led the way with three goals and two assists. Gabe Fenney had a goal and two assists. Allister Wigglesworth had a goal and one assist.

Single tallies came from Liam Walker, Metteo Villa, Max Stearns, Gavin Turner, Damian Burbano-Young, Dan Labejsza and Allan Freitas.

The Mountaineers (2-2) travel to Danville tonight.

Rochester, Vt. — Brianna Hillier had two goals and Emma Gillette also scored. Grace LaFromboise had an assist and Krista Townsend made four saves for Whitchester (2-2), which travels to Danville on Saturday.

Quechee — Emily Jasmin had 11 assists and seven digs as the Eagles fell to 1-4.

Set scores were 23-25, 18-25, 15-25. Taylor Paquette had five kills and 11 digs for MVCS and Rachel Seale had four kills, three blocks and six digs.

Hanna Blankenship had five digs for the Eagles, who travel to Harwood tonight.
