Hanover, N.H. — Donald Whidden Boice Jr., 87, passed away Friday Sept. 16, 2016. He was born in Morristown, N.J. to the late Donald W. & Elsie M. (Wikoff) Boice Sr. on May 18, 1929. Donald Boice grew up and graduated from schools in Morristown. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, following his honorable discharge he began his career in sales. He was married to Alice McLaren in 1958 and soon began their family. During the summer of 1981 they moved their family to the Upper Valley while working for garrison Stove Company. Donald belonged to a masonic lodge, US Jaycees and the Playboy Club. His favorite sport was golf; he very much enjoyed playing also enjoyed swimming and photography. Donald was always up on political happenings and current affairs and enjoyed discussing and debating. He was most passionate about his wife, children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his son Donald W. Boice III and his wife Janice of Hartford, Vt. and Kathy Rice and her husband Randy of Enfield, N.H., Two grandchildren Tyler Boice of Hartford, Vt. and Alisha Boice of Hartford, Vt., a sister Karen Templeton of Lakeland, Fla. and extended family in the Eastman community.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours at the Ricker Funeral Home & Crematory in Lebanon on Wednesday Sept. 21, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All are invited to a graveside service at the Valley Cemetery in Lebanon on Thursday September 22, 2016 at 11am.
