Hillsboro, N.H. —
He was born In Patchogue, Long Island, N.Y. to the late Robert Douglas Jr and Barbara (Zabora) Douglas.
Being very mechanically talented, he was ever in the company of engines: model airplane engines, antique hit-and-miss engines, automobile engines, and live-steam engines, he knew them all, and was always glad to share what he knew with others. Although he never hunted, he had a machinist’s appreciation of firearms, and was known as a knowledgeable, astute collector and trader of well-made hand guns.
Bob is survived by his wife, Susan, of Hillsboro – two brothers: Donald of Searsport, Maine, and William and his wife, Constance, of Concord, N.H. – He has two children: Stephan and Diana, both of Littleton, Mass. – three grandchildren, Renee, Johnathan, Christopher, and one great-grandaughter Riley Susan Douglas Macgregor.
Graveside Services will be held Oct. 1, 2016 at 1 p.m. in West Lebanon Cemetery, In West Lebanon, N.H.
