Newport — The nonprofit group that provides bus service in the heart of Sullivan County is shutting down its routes on Sept. 9.

The Community Alliance for Human Services said it has “experienced ongoing challenges to meet” the local funding match requiring to win federal funding for the routes, which serve Claremont, Newport and Charlestown.

CAHS and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation are working to find another provider for bus and volunteer driver services in Sullivan County.
