D’Agostino, who won six track national titles and one cross country crown with the Big Green, placed sixth Thursday with a time of 15 minutes, 29.66 seconds at Hayward Field. She and 15 other runners advanced to Sunday’s final, where the top three will quality for next month’s Olympics in Rio.
Sunday’s race is set to begin at 7:28 p.m. and will be carried live on NBC.
In 2012, D’Agostino finished fourth in the 5,000, missing the London Games by less than a second.

Lebanon’s patience at the plate paid off in the form of multiple walks along with seven errors by the Exeter defense. Lebanon scored four times in the first inning after Cayden Van Dolah reached on an error; Van Dolah, Dawson Bates and Dominic Petkus came home on miscues, and Zach Gauet added the fourth run on a passed ball. Bates earned the win on the mound, which Hewett secured with a sixth-inning save completed when he retired the potential winning run at the plate.
Lebanon was due to meet Dover on Thursday night for the right to meet Nashua for the state title tonight.

Dartmouth has traditionally had its football and hockey games on carried on the college’s student-run station, WFRD 99.3 FM.
Basketball hasn’t been carried on Upper Valley radio for several years.
