Nina is a spunky patch tabby with a lot of personality! She is very talkative and although she isn’t a lap cat, she loves to be around people.
Nina thrives on consistency and would do well in a home with a regular routine. She likes to spend her days playing with toys and lounging around. In her new home, she would enjoy a sunny window to look out of.
Nina would be happiest as your only pet in an adult-only home.
Nina is up for adoption from the Upper Valley Humane Society, located at 300 Old Route 10 in Enfield and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Upper Valley Humane Society is also on Facebook and Instagram and can be reached at 603-448-6888.

“Hi! My name is Nala and I’m a 1-year-old spayed female cane corso mix. I may look quite grown to you, but to tell you the truth, I’m still a puppy!
“I came to Lucy Mackenzie after my human, who I had been with since I was only a couple months old, was in a bad accident and sadly couldn’t care for me any longer. Despite my life changes, I’ll admit that I’ve had fun here, made lots of friends and have learned a lot.
“My ideal home would be with somebody that has experience in training a large, young dog. I might have a few bad behaviors, but I’m a quick learner and am getting better every single day.
“I’d be perfectly content living as an only dog, but might consider living with another dog, if it was a good match. A good match would be a laid-back confident dog, probably older, that could help teach me the ways of the world. I’ll be honest, little kids aren’t for me. I’m undecided about cats, but would consider living with one if they had experience with dogs. I might like to chase them, but maybe not all the time.
“The important thing is that I would love a human that would love me for who I am and not give up on me. I assure you that I will repay you with a lifetime of love, cuddles and joy! If you can provide me with what I need, stop in and meet me today.”
Nala is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.

Meet Dill! This cute guy is friendly and playful. He is also a pretty big guy, who looks an awful lot like he got stuck in a teenager body. He is long and lean, with big paws that seem like he will grow into them, except that he’s almost 2 years old. Dill is not likely to grow any more.
Dill likes exploring, playing with other cats, and being petted (as long as he isn’t busy playing with other cats). He loves people and often “dances”, lifting his front feet in a marching motion, when he is excited about getting some attention.
Dill would make a great fit in a family with other pets and/or children, and with empty cardboard boxes, catnip and laser pointer toys. He may not make a good fit in a family with fancy drapes, lots of potted plants or antiques.
Come in and visit Dill and our other play machines during open hours!
Dill is up for adoption from the River Valley Animal Protection League, located at 60 Cummings Ave. in Charlestown and open to the public Mondays, 4-7 p.m., and Saturdays, 1-4 p.m., or by appointment by calling 603-826-3061. The River Valley Animal Protection League is also on Facebook.
