Darvish underwent an MRI in Texas on Monday and was examined by Rangers team physician Dr. Keith Meister.
While the MRI showed no structural issues, the right-hander from Japan is still bothered by discomfort in his pitching shoulder. The team said he will receive treatment until he is ready to begin throwing again.
Darvish last pitched Wednesday, when he came out after five innings against Houston. He said after the game that tightness in his neck caused tightness in his shoulder.
