The award, formerly the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility, recognizes employers across the country for their use of workplace strategies to increase business and employee success.
This is the second year in a row RSG has won the award.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition for our workplace practices,” said Stephen Lawe, chief executive officer of employee-owned RSG, which applies modeling and analytics to address transportation planning, market strategy and environmental management issues.
Award applicants are evaluated on six workplace characteristics: opportunities for learning; a culture of trust; work-life fit; supervisor support for work success; autonomy and satisfaction with earnings, benefits and opportunities for advancement.
“Effective workplaces recognize that employees are an organization’s greatest resource and make a critical difference in the organization’s ability to not only survive, but to thrive,” Ellen Galinsky, president of Families and Work Institute, said in a news release.
Lisa Horn, director of Society for Human Resource Management’s workplace flexibility initiative, said the award shows that employers “are continuing the movement toward effective workplace strategies that benefit both business and employees.”
RSG is headquartered in White River Junction and has locations in Burlington, Vt., Arlington, Va., Evansville, Ind., St. Augustine, Fla., Chicago, Salt Lake City, Portland, Ore., and San Diego.
