Ivanka, adoptable from the Sullivan County Humane Society
I am 2-year-old Ivanka. On a very cold day in January, a girl took her trash out to the dumpster and found both me and my sister, in cat carriers, next to the dumpster. She immediately called her mom who called us. The mom is deathly allergic to cats so drove us straight to the shelter late at night so we could get out of the cold.
I am very shy while my sister is more outgoing. Sadly, we were adopted but then my sister started to beat up on me because I was scared in our new home, so I was returned. I am a sweet girl; I just need a quiet home where my new family will be very patient with me.
I am spayed, treated for fleas and worms, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

Tiger is our longest resident. Social and sweet, Tiger will “chat” back and forth with you and happily follow you around to “help” with any task that needs doing. He especially likes tiptoeing across computer keyboards!
Tiger has had a little trouble finding a home. He loves attention and will be your best friend, but he wants to be your only pet. He also has hyperthyroidism which requires twice daily medication that is relatively inexpensive (under $30 per month). He was surrendered to UVHS because he was having trouble using his litter box, but here at the shelter we’ve worked on this issue and he has made great progress.
Tiger is a staff favorite — we are all cheering for this loving cat to find his very special new home. Are you looking for your purr-fect match? Please consider this great guy!
