Tweek, adoptable from Potter’s Angels Rescue
“My name is Tweek and this name suits me well! I am an energetic, fun-loving dude that is learning about all of the wonders that this world has to offer. I love to play with other energetic dogs. I’m kind of a weird little guy and I am looking for someone who can be understanding and patient with my excitable behavior.
“My foster mom currently walks me on a slip lead and I learn really fast. If you don’t allow me to pull on the leash, I won’t. However, I’m smart, so if you don’t set the walking rules, I will start making my own rules. I know how to sit but I don’t sit still for long.
“It is clear that in my past life, I was starved for attention. When I first got to my foster people, I reacted towards many weird things like guard rails, stationary machinery, signs, cars, kids on bikes. I was seeing so many things for the first time. But when my people allowed me to investigate the things, I became disinterested to those same objects the next time around. I learn quickly and am doing well with such patient fosters.
“One thing is for sure, I am always full of happiness! The only time I really calm down is when I am in my crate. I calm down quickly in there. When I am left loose and alone, I can get a bit mischievous so having a crate for me to stay in when you’re gone would be a good idea.
“I enjoy playing with other dogs and I would do best with another active dog. I am good with cats and leave them alone for the most part. I will pester them at times but respect them when they stand their ground. I would likely chase a cat if it ran but not to hurt it. I just want to play with everyone I meet! I have not been around children before, but because I get so excited, it would probably be best if I lived in a home without kids.
“I can be a bit vocal when I am out in the big bad world, but I’m working on quieting down for my people. So basically, I’m just a little wild man. I’m full of character and I’m one of those dogs that you can’t be sad around. If I can’t lift your spirits, then nothing can. I do need some patience and understanding when I am out in the world, but I’m getting better every day. I’m not a dog for the faint of heart. I have a powerful presence and am looking for a partner that will work with me, not against me.”
Tweek is up for adoption from Potter’s Angels Rescue, based in East Randolph. Submit an application here. Potter’s Angels is also on Facebook.

Frankie is very gentle and absolutely loves to be petted by her human friends. She’s very clean in her enclosure and good at using her litter box. Frankie loves to play with toys and ‘dig’ in boxes and blankets!
She would be a great rabbit for a new rabbit owner.

Lady, adoptable from River Valley Animal Protection League
There are affectionate cats and then there are ridiculously affectionate cats. Lady is of the later persuasion, and by persuasion I mean that she won’t take no for an answer.
Lady is kid- and cat-friendly. She is energetic and will need her family to make time for her every day.
If you are looking for a cat that will endlessly seek you out for play and petting, then Lady is looking for you!

Hector, adoptable from Sullivan County Humane Society
“I am 2-year-old Hector. I was found as a stray by a kind woman who says cats are always dropped off in her neighborhood. When no one came back for me, she took me in and called the humane society, so here I am.
“I am a sweet boy who wants a forever family! I am vet checked, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, treated for fleas and worms, and FIV/FeLV negative.”
Hector is up for adoption from Sullivan County Humane Society, located at 145 Broad St. in Claremont. Please see hours on the humane society website at www.sullivancountyhumanesociety.org and Facebook. Call 603-542-3277 or email sullivanhumane@hotmail.com.

Mist, adoptable from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society
“Hi! My name is Mist and I’m a 10-year-old neutered male cat looking for an awesome home.
“I came to Lucy Mackenzie with my buddy Midnight when it was discovered that a human in our home was allergic to cats. It was a sad day for all of us, but things began looking up soon after we arrived here.
“Since I’ve been here, I’ve been receiving treatment for my diabetes, something that went undetected in my former home. I feel and look so much better and I need my medication only once a day now that my diet is under control.
“I’m an incredibly loving cat that has a small special-need requirement, but if you can take care of me and my diabetes, I promise to bring lots of love and laughter to your life.
“I’m playful, huggable and kinda cute, even if I do say so myself! If you’ve been looking to give a fun-loving cat a second chance in life, stop in and meet me today.”
Mist is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.
