Cornish, N.H. — There are no words to describe how much we will miss Dane who left us on Saturday, May 21st. He was always on the move, riding a two wheeler at three, skiing from the top of Mt. Ascutney at four, and riding his beloved 50cc motocross bike at 5. We breathed a sigh of relief when he decided to trade in his motocross for a mountain bike and he loved riding and competing with it. Dane was fortunate to to have attended Cornish Elementary School where he had many friends to ride with, play soccer, basketball, baseball and go camping. They were a tight group of boys and those were the happiest times in his life Dane had a generous heart and helped so many people along the way. He was a member in good standing with IATSE Local 481 and worked on many films including: Empire Falls, Gone Baby Gone, The Town, Mall Cop, Mall Cop 2, Ted, Ted 2, Underdog, Joy, Ghostbusters Two, The Finest Hour and Maiden Heist. He loved working with the crew and put his heart and soul into it. He was born March 2, 1983, joining his sister Sarah He was funny and very bright. His sister loved him despite the fact he reveled in teasing her. Dane’s father, Stephen DeBoer, pre deceased him December 24th, 2012. Dane leaves behind his mother, Regina Barker who loved him with all the fiber of her being, and stepfather Jim Barker who always had faith in his potential. His sister Sarah Luciani of Charlton, Mass., loved and cared deeply for her brother as did her husband Brad Luciani. Dane had three beloved nephews, Brad, Gabe and Bryce Luciani. Long ago Dane was given the unexpected gift of a half brother, Brian Madden, of Eastchester, N.Y., whom he looked up to and loved dearly along with Brian’s wife, Leah Bentley and their two sons Elliot and Theo. He also had a stepsister Greta Barker of Burlington, Vt. and step-brother Trever Barker of California. Dane held his maternal grandmother Wilma and grandfather Edward Rice close to his heart, along with his many aunts and uncles as follows: Uncle Eric and Aunt Cindy Rice of N. Barrington, Ill., his beloved Aunt Laura Daniels, who checked in on him every day and Uncle Richard of Lebanon, NH, his cousin Cameron McGrath, wife Taylor and son Grayson of Daytona Beach, Fla., Uncle David Rice of Claremont, N.H. and his cousins Jessica Fleming, Justin Rice and Jarrod Rice who reside in Illinois, his Uncle Aaron Rice of Fisher’s Island, N.Y., Aunt Maryjane and Uncle Dan Vigneault of Claremont, N.H., who refurbished and gave him his first motocross bike, an unforgettable gesture of kindness and in turn Dane did the same thing for his nephews. There will be a private family service in time. It is our hope that Dane is in a place with no pain, no heartbreak, no sadness, no hungry heart. Here is an excerpt from a Maya Angelou poem:
