Boscawen, N.H. — Kenneth Gordon Butcher, 84, formerly of Route 11, New London, died peacefully May 10, 2016. He was born in Ayer Mass. on Dec.8,1931 the son of Neil and Leticia (Watson) Butcher. He was the youngest of seven children, and a graduate of Sunapee High School. Ken enlisted in the US Army, and was stationed in Korea from 1950 to 1953. Ken returned from the service and married the love of his life, Eleanor E. (Heath) Butcher.

Upon his return from Korea, Ken worked at a machine shop in New London, and then worked for Kidder Garage and later Jonhson and Dix fuels as a fuel delivery operator for over 30 years, retiring in 1991. Ken was a member of the First Baptist Church of New London. Ken enjoyed snowmobiling, tinkering with old engines, making things for his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife Eleanor E.(Heath) Butcher and his siblings, Chet, Merle, Elmer, Georgena, Ruby and May. He is survived by a son Ronald G. Butcher and Joanne Cross, Chris Seufert and his wife Betsy and a daughter Kathleen E. Seastrand and her husband David. Grandchildren; Elizabeth (Butcher) Morris and her husband David, Neil Butcher and Alicia Finch, Nichole (Seufert) Cable and her husband Chris, Eric Seufert and Ken Seastrand and his wife Marissa. And his great grandchildren; Chasitty, Nattaly, Ashley,Aiden,Janaya,Micah,Noa,Ella Mae,Mazie Elizabeth, Andrew and Lauren.

A service and burial will be held at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Springfield, N.H. on Friday May 13, 2016 at 1 p.m.. Chadwick Funeral Service of New London, NH is assisting the family with arrangements.
