A Hanover Democrat says she plans to run for the open District 5 New Hampshire Senate seat that stretches from Lyme to Charlestown.
State Rep. Martha Hennessey, a first-term lawmaker, plans to run for the seat now held by state Sen. David Pierce, D-Lebanon.
Pierce yesterday said he is stepping down for family reasons.
