Lebanon, N.H. —
Garry was born Aug. 21, 1944, in Paintsville, Ky. a son of Rudy and Elizabeth (Akers) Daniels. He graduated from MadisonHigh School in Trotwood, Ohio. He attended Defiance College in Defiance, Ohio, Cumberland College in Princeton, Ky. and later Morehead State University in Morehead, Ky. before entering the U.S. Army where he served honorably for four years. Upon his return he continued his studies for a time at the University of New Hampshire in Manchester. He worked as a software programmer for Honeywell and in quality control at GW Plastics. He was last employed at Faststop-Champlain Farms before retiring.
Garry was a member of the American Legion Post# 22 in Lebanon. He was passionate about sports and would watch, read and play them, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed time in the woods hunting. He and his partner Janet enjoyed several travel excursions.
He is survived by his partner, Janet Adams of Lebanon; two daughters, Martha LeMahieu of Concord, N.H. and Mia Rhodes of Hillsboro, Ore.; and a brother, James Daniels of Anderson, S.C.
A celebration of life will be held at their home 4 Barrow Street, Lebanon, Saturday May 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to Garry’s family at www.knightfuneralhome.com.
