Canaan
In a Wednesday night news release, Canaan police Chief Sam Frank said Laramie was arrested Monday night on one count of prostitution, a Class B misdemeanor. The arrest was part of an undercover investigation launched earlier in the week, according to Frank.
The 48-year-old Laramie, who spoke to a reporter outside his Grantham home on Wednesday evening, declined to comment on the arrest.
Citing personal reasons, Laramie abruptly resigned from his position at the Ray School in February. In March, school administrators announced they were investigating more than $30,000 in unapproved expenses charged to Laramie’s school-issued credit card.
In Canaan, Laramie was released on $7,500 personal recognizance bail, police said. He is scheduled to be arraigned on July 11 in Lebanon circuit court.
