Boston — Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas said he hasn’t been suspended for taking a swing at Atlanta’s Dennis Schroder during Game 3 of their first-round playoff series.

Thomas scored a career-high 42 points in Boston’s 111-103 victory Friday night. He swung his arm at Schroder in the first quarter, hitting the Hawks point guard in the side of the head.

Thomas spent a restless night before getting the word from Celtics president Danny Ainge on Saturday afternoon that he wouldn’t be suspended.

The Celtics will try to even the best-of-seven series at two games apiece in Game 4 tonight.

NBA Playoffs Pacers 100, Raptors 83

Indianapolis — George Hill and Ian Mahinmi each scored 22 points, Paul George added 19 and the Indiana Pacers beat the Toronto Raptors 100-83 on Sunday to tie the first-round playoff series at 2-2.

Game 5 in the best-of-seven series is Tuesday night in Toronto.

Jonas Valanciunas led Toronto with 16 points, and Kyle Lowry and DeMarre Carroll each had 12.

Indiana scored the first seven points, took control with a 3-point spree late in the first quarter and led by as much as 25 points in the first half.

Hornets 96, Heat 80

Charlotte, n.c. — Jeremy Lin scored 18 points, Kemba Walker had 17 and the Hornets beat Miami to snap a 12-game playoff losing streak and earn their first postseason victory in 14 years.

Rookie Frank Kaminsky, who got the starting nod, scored eight of his 15 points during an 18-0 run in the third quarter that broke open a 53-all game.

The Heat lead the series 2-1, with Game 4 set for Monday night.

NHL Playoffs Penguins 6, Rangers 1

Pittsburgh — The Penguins ended their postseason slump against New York emphatically , lighting up Henrik Lundqvist in a remarkably easy rout in Game 5 to win the series 4-1 and advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Rookie Bryan Rust scored twice during a four-goal burst in the second period and Matt Murray made 38 saves for the Penguins. Pittsburgh which outscored the Rangers 14-4 over the final three games to gain a measure of revenge after New York ended the Penguins’ seasons each of the last two years.

Ducks 5, Predators 2

Anaheim, Calif. — Ryan Garbutt scored the go-ahead goal in the second period for the Ducks, who beat the Predators for the first win by a home team in their first-round series, which Anaheim leads 3-2.

Nashville had won the first two games in Anaheim before the Ducks tied it with two wins on the Predators’ home ice.

David Perron scored the tying goal earlier in the second and assisted on Garbutt’s goal. The Ducks added three goals in the third: Sami Vatanen scored on a breakaway, Cam Fowler had a power-play goal and Ryan Kesler added an empty-netter.

Miikka Salomaki and Ryan Johansen scored for Nashville.
