Miami
The four homers in an inning was a Nationals record, and a record for Marlins pitchers.
Stephen Strasburg (3-0) allowed three hits in eight scoreless innings. He was locked in a scoreless duel with Adam Conley until Jayson Werth hit his 200th career homer with one out in the seventh.
Wilson Ramos homered on the next pitch, and after Washington loaded the bases, Harper hit his seventh homer off left-hander Chris Narveson. Ryan Zimmerman followed with a solo homer, his first.
Harper has homered in five of the past six games, and he has 20 RBIs. The grand slam was his second in five days, and the second of his career.
New York
After two more scoreless innings from the Yankees’ dynamic duo of Dellin Betances and Andrew Miller, rookie Johnny Barbato (1-1) pitched a perfect 10th.
Lowrie doubled into the right-field corner against Barbato with one out in the 11th, then took third on a groundout by Khris Davis, who had struck out in his previous three at-bats. Canha singled off the glove of a diving Didi Gregorius at shortstop and into left field for his second RBI this season.
Cincinnati
Brandon Phillips had four hits, and Billy Hamilton doubled home a pair of runs during Cincinnati’s four-run second inning off De La Rosa (1-2). The inning included those record five steals off the left-hander’s slow move to the plate. The Reds hadn’t stolen so many bases during an inning since at least the 1920s, per information provided by the teams from the Elias Sports Bureau.

Jose Bautista had two hits and an RBI for the Blue Jays, who have won three straight to move over .500 (8-7) for the first time since April 5.

The 6-foot-3 right-hander was part of the Baby Birds staff in Baltimore in 1964, a young rotation with great promise. He was an All-Star by 1962 and started the Midsummer Classic in 1965, months before he and two other players were dealt to Cincinnati for future Hall of Famer Frank Robinson in one of the most lopsided trades in baseball history.
His best year with the Cubs was in 1972. Pappas went 17-7 and came within one disputed pitch of throwing a perfect game when he walked a San Diego batter with two outs in the bottom of the ninth before finishing with a no-hitter.
St. Louis
The 23-year-old Schwarber was hurt in an outfield collision with center fielder Dexter Fowler on April 7.
The surgery was done in Dallas by Cowboys orthopedic surgeon Dr. Daniel Cooper, an expert in multiple ligament repair.
