Sophomore Kyle Holbrook’s pop fly into shallow center field was just deep enough to allow senior Nick Ruppert to streak home from third with the winning run in the final frame to give the Big Green (7-17, 1-3 Ivy) its first league victory of the season.
Penn (12-13, 4-2 Ivy) answered back in the second game by belting three home runs that produced the game’s first six runs en route to an 11-1 triumph.
Dartmouth right-hander Duncan Robinson, last year’s Ivy League Pitcher of the Year, threw a seven-hitter in game one, striking out eight and walking none. Michael Ketchmar and Ruppert had two hits apiece for the Big Green.
In game two, Penn belted 14 hits off four Dartmouth pitchers. Tim Graul, Ryan Mincher and Matt O’Neill homered for the Quakers. Cole O’Connor (0-2) took the loss for the Big Green. Thomas Roulis had two hits for Dartmouth.

In game one, Thomas played six runs in the top of the seventh to defeat the Chargers, and Colby-Sawyer’s Jackson Musco scored the game-winner on a walk-off hit from junior Nathan Frongillo in the eighth inning of game two.
Hanover
Dartmouth is the only undefeated team in the conference after the Big Green extended its winning streak to nine games. Dartmouth junior Karen Chaw continued her strong season with four hits. Senior Katie McEachern had a huge day in game two with a two-run homer and three-run homer, giving her nine long balls on the year.
In game one, Big Green senior Morgan McCalmon earned her 11th victory, giving up just two hits, with five strikeouts in six innings. Dartmouth got on the scoreboard early in the bottom of the first when junior Maddie Damore hit a three RBI double to left field with the bases loaded, giving the home team a 3-0 lead.
Ithaca, n.y.
Taryn Deck, Courtney Weisse, Larson Bennett, Campbell Brewer and Campbell Probert scored for Dartmouth. Cornell had two goals apiece from four players: Joey Coffry, Emily Tripodi, Amie Dickson and Catherine Ellis.

In the varsity eight, Princeton was first (6:11.1), followed closely by Delaware and Dartmouth. The results were similar in the second varsity, where the Tigers had a little more of a lead this time (6:16.7).
Princeton left more of a gap in the third varsity, completing the event in 6:20.9. Although there were more than 30 seconds between the Tigers and the Blue Hens (6:51.2), there were just six seconds between Delaware and Dartmouth in third (6:57.3).
Derby, Conn.
Yale’s varsity eight retained the Olympic Axe by winning the final race of the day, 5:46.8- 5:57.64.
Hanover
The Dartmouth doubles duos of Max Schmidt-Roko Glasnovic and Dovydas Sakinis-Max Fliegner won for the doubles point. Sakinis, Fliegner and Schmidt were the Big Green’s singles winners.
Princeton, n.j.
The Dartmouth duos of Katherine Yau-Julia Schroeder and Taylor Ng-Kristina Mathis won for the doubles point, and Yau won her fourth singles match in a row with a three-set victory at No. 2.
Kannapolis, n.c.
Senior Charles Cai was the top finisher for the Big Green with a 76 for a tie for 50th overall out of 89 competitors.
Meriden
Aurora Braswell, Annie McKe and Mia Brown had two goals apiece and Maisie O’Shea added a goal. The defense was solid, allowing only eight shots on goal. KUA goalie Kate Fowler had four saves and teammate Sean Perkins had two.

Christina Ryan, Hana Caloras, Sam Vocatura, Kelly Do, Keara Westover and Lebanon resident Stephanie Pipas won in singles, while the duos of Ryan and Vocatura, Ella Malone and Meriden resident Erin Gregory-Davis and Do and Charlotte Greenspan, of Meriden, won in doubles.
Wolfeboro, n.h.
Coombs did her part at the plate with two hits, two runs and two RBIs. Natalie Paine and Ernesha Salcedo were also repeat hitters.
Catherine Beaupre had a beautiful catch in center field to help stop Brewster’s late rally in the bottom of the seventh inning. Second baseman Caitlin Beneat also played a strong defensive game.
