Albany, n.y.— Michael Garteig made 27 saves and Soren Jonzzon scored twice in top-ranked Quinnipiac’s 4-0 victory over RIT on Saturday in the NCAA East Regional semifinals.

The Bobcats (30-3-7) will face the winner of the second semifinal between Massachussets-Lowell and Yale for a spot in the Frozen Four in Tampa, Florida.

Garteig has seven shutouts this season and 19 overall.

Travis St. Denis opened the scoring on a first-period power play. Scott Davidson made it 2-0 early in the third, and Jonzzon added his two goals to help the Bobcats match the school victory record set in 2012-13.

North Dakota 5Michigan 2

Cincinnati — Rhett Gardner broke a tie midway through the third period and North Dakota beat Michigan in the NCAA Midwest Regional final to advance to the Frozen Four.

Gardner deflected Paul LaDue’s shot off goalie Steve Racine’s glove.

The Fighting Hawks (32-6-4) reached the Frozen Four for the third straight year and 22nd time overall. They won the last of their seven titles in 2000.

Luke Johnson, Drake Caggiula, Coltyn Sanderson and LaDue — into an empty net — also scored goals for North Dakota, and Cam Johnson made 23 saves.

JT Compher scored twice for Michigan (25-8-5).

Ferris State 5St. Cloud State 4, ot

St. Paul, Minn. — Jared VanWormer scored at 18 seconds of overtime to give Ferris State thevictory over St. Cloud State on Saturday in the NCAA West Regional semifinals.

The Bulldogs (20-14-6) will face the Denver-Boston University winner for a spot in the Frozen Four in Tampa, Fla.

St. Cloud State (31-9-1) scored twice in the third period to force overtime.

St. Paul, Minn. — Will Butcher scored two power-play goals to help Denver rout Boston University in the NCAA West Regional semifinals.

The Pioneers (24-9-6) will face Ferris State on Sunday for a spot in the Frozen Four in Tampa, Florida. Ferris State beat St. Cloud State 5-4 in overtime in the first semifinal.

Danny O’Regan and Mike Moran scored late goals for Boston University (21-13-5).

Massachussets-Lowell 3Yale 2, ot

ALBANY, N.Y. — Joe Gambardella scored at 1:37 of overtime to give Massachussets-Lowell the victory over Yale in the NCAA East Regional semifinals.

The River Hawks (26-9-5) will face Quinnipiac on Sunday for a spot in the Frozen Four in Tampa, Florida.

Gambardella took a pass from Tommy Panico in the high slot and beat goalie Alex Lyon with a wrist shot. Gambardella also scored the tying goal at 6:12 of the third.

Michael Fallon opened the scoring for Lowell early in the first period. Frankie Dichiara tied it late in the first, and Ryan Hitchcock gave Yale (19-9-4) the lead midway through the second.
