Police: Man rescued from partially submerged vehicle in Connecticut River

Artist Lia Rothstein, 71, photographed at her home studio in Hanover, N.H., on Jan. 17, 2023, has been experimenting with bioplastics to replace synthetic plastic based materials in her sculptures, which led her to be chosen as the 2023 Climate Change Artist In Residence at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center. She has tried and moved away from using pigmented gut, in the pieces at lower left and upper right, and toward materials made from crustacean shells, seaweed and other plant materials, that can be made into forms themselves or painted on fabric like the blue cheese cloth, at center.
