Hartford hesitant about helping Norwich with sewer extension

Stuart Paton, co-founder and artistic director of Burlington Taiko, leads the Barnard Academy fourth and fifth grade class Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021, through a piece they are learning during a five-day taiko drumming workshop in Barnard, Vt., Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021. Each of the school's classes is spending an hour outside on each day of the workshop before a performance on Friday that will be recorded for parents. "I'm teaching Taiko as if it were a language," said Paton who engaged the class with repetition, vocalizations of the drum sounds and treating the movements of beating the drum as choreography.
