Dr. Jack Turco, of Norwich, is an endocrinologist who works with transgender patients at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. As the former Director of Health at Dartmouth College, Turco saw roughly six transgender patients each year. "I think one in 1000 is closer than what you see in the literature," he said, Monday, April 18, 2016 of statistics on the numbers of transgender people in the population that state the ratio at closer to one in 8,000, or one in 10,000.
