LEBANON, NH — Sylvia Doris LaHaye aka “Gidget”, 71, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. She was born January 16, 1948 in Monroe, NH to Geraldine C. (Greenwood) and Robert H. Fadden. Sylvia graduated from Lebanon High School and married Henry L. LaHaye April 29, 1967.
Sylvia loved to cook and touched the lives of so many people during her time at the Coop, Faculty Club, and Lebanon High School; feeding people was the way she showed her love. Sylvia enjoyed riding in her husband’s ‘67 Mustang and going to the Owl’s Nest or Casino. She was a social butterfly and treasured the connections she made through the Senior Center. More than anything she loved her family and dogs and spending time with them.
Sylvia is survived by her mother, Geraldine Fadden of Lebanon, NH; sons, Daren LaHaye of Topsham, VT, Daryl LaHaye of Newport, NH, David LaHaye of Lebanon, NH, and Derek LaHaye of Winchester, NH; grandchildren, Mariah LaHaye of Boston, MA, Steele LaHaye of Concord, VT, Parker LaHaye of Topsham, VT, Graham LaHaye of Topsham, VT, Lily LaHaye of Topsham, VT, Makayla LaHaye of Keene, NH, David LaHaye of Lebanon, NH, Hunter LaHaye of Lebanon, NH, Bradley LaHaye of Lebanon, NH, and Matthew LaHaye of Lebanon, NH; sister, Caroline Williams of Plainfield, NH; brothers, Robert Fadden of Enfield, NH and Brett Fadden of Enfield, NH; and countless family members and friends who will miss her terribly.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her father, Robert Fadden of West Lebanon, NH; husband, Henry LaHaye of Lebanon, NH; and sister, Laura Lique of Sharon, VT.
Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours at Ricker Funeral Home Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 P.M..
