Claremont, N.H. — William G. Poland, 80, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2017 peacefully at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Hanover, N.H. to the late Glendon G. & Hazel C. (Gaudette) Poland. William grew up in Enfield and graduated from West Lebanon High School, Class of 1955. He enlisted and served in the Air Force for 20-plus years, following his discharge he returned home. He worked for JRB Enterprise in Canaan, N.H. as a Master Coach Driver. He was a member of the American Legion Post 22, a life member of DAV, a member of Mt. Calm Grange and the Sullivan County Farm Bureau.

He was predeceased by his brother Richard Poland and a sister Gail Bowers.

He is survived by a brother George Poland and three children Rebecca Poland, James W. Poland and Gerald G. Poland.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. William will be privately buried with his family in the Mt. Calm Cemetery in Enfield, N.H.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the DAV in the name of William G Poland.
