Newbury, Vt. — Christine Lee Wheeler, 54, of Fish Pond Road, died on Sunday, May 21, 2017, as a result of injuries following an ATV accident at her home.

Christine was born in Lebanon, N.H. on Feb. 9, 1963, to Perry and Janet Marjorie (Thurston) Porter. She was a graduate of Hartford High School, Class of 1981. Christine was an LNA at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon and for the Brookside Nursing Homes in both White River Junction and Bradford, Vt. Most recently, she was employed as a continue care specialist at Valley Vista in Bradford.

Christine enjoyed yoga, gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at their property where she could ride her ATV and watch for deer, bear, and turkeys.

She was predeceased by her son, Justin Laundry on Nov. 8, 1996, and her loving beagle, Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Wheeler of Newbury, to whom she was married on Sept. 1, 2007; her children, Crit Laundry of Plainfield, N.H. and twins, Kellan Rose and Kayla Rose, both of West Lebanon, N.H.; two step-children, Tadd Wheeler of East Haven, Vt. and Katie Crandall of East Ryegate, Vt.; four grandchildren, Rowan, Isabelle, Ciera, and Madison; her mother, Janet LaBelle of Swanzey, N.H.; her father, Perry Porter of Plainfield; two sisters, Carol Babcock of Dover, NH and Melissa Porter of Plainfield; two brothers, Mike and Jeff Porter, both of Keene, N.H.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; along with her special pals, Mylee and Kasi Lee.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, May 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, N.H.

A memorial service will be on Friday, May 26 at 10 a.m. at Ricker Funeral Home with Rev. Kate Maver, officiating.
