Springfield, Vt. — Kyle Prior continues to terrorize opponents for the Hartford High boys soccer team. The junior scored all four goals Thursday during a 4-0 victory at Springfield and has seven goals and an assist in three games this season.

“Kyle’s in really good shape,” said Hurricanes coach Kevin Guilbault, whose team improved to 2-1 while dropping the Cosmos to 0-3. “He’s been very active and he’s playing with a lot of confidence right now. He’s hard to stop.

“When we play well, we attack really well and put them under a lot of pressure. We were able to give ourselves plenty of chances, and Kyle was able to finish quite well for us tonight.”

Prior’s first tally came unassisted from 20 yards during the fourth minute. The second came on a header off a Pat McGlone feed on a restart during the 32nd minute. Nine minutes after halftime, Prior converted a Joe Batchelder feed and he completed his performance five minutes later by popping in the rebound of a Nick Jones shot off the post.
