THETFORD CENTER, VT — Dawn Marie Ilsley, 75, passed away peacefully at home with her devoted husband and family by her side on Sunday September 20, 2020. She was born February 28, 1945 to Richard and Isabelle (Pressey) Moffitt. Dawn grew up in Hanover and graduated from Hanover High School. She was married to Lee David Ilsley, son of the late Maynard and Helen Ilsley. They made their home in the Rice’s Mills District of Thetford Center where together they raised their sons Brian Richard and Brent Maynard. Dawn worked at the Hanover Credit Union for several years until she was not able to work due to progressing Multiple Sclerosis. Her family is especially thankful for the care she received from her best friend and caregiver, Laurie French, who made it possible for Dawn to remain in her own home throughout her long illness. They also appreciate the care received from her sister-in-law Pat Hill, Margaret Bailey and nephews Troy and his wife Cindy. She was predeceased by her mother when she was a teenager as well as by an infant brother, Ricky; her father and stepmother, Jeanne. She is survived by her husband of fifty six years, Lee, of Thetford Center; sons Brian (Ruth) of Post Mills and Brent (Karla) of Hartford; grandson David of Hartland Four Corners; sister Martia Marsh of Lebanon: special aunt Margaret Bailey as well as several nieces and nephews.
