HANOVER, NH — Deanna S. Liberty Stygles died peacefully on 12/29/2019 in Hanover, NH.
She was born August 8, 1938, in Newport, VT, to Lyndon A. Liberty and Merial (Stratton) Liberty.
Deanna graduated from Barton Academy in 1956. She worked 25 years in school food services, starting in Litchfield, NH. She worked in the Conway, Claremont, and the Hanover school districts. She went back to school and graduated from Rivier College in 1989 with a teaching degree. She retired from Hanover High School after working 15 years as a special needs coach. She was on the New Hampshire State Advisory Committeeon theEducationofChildren/Students with Disabilities.
Deanna was a talented quilter, and seamstress, and belonged to the Green Mountain Quilters guild for 25 years. She was a member of the Clan of the Hawk, in Evansville, VT, for 10 years. She was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling with her best friend Jackie Longely. She also enjoyed spending time with her friend Judy McClure who was a great support and friend to her.
Deanna is survived by her husband Durwood Stygles of Irasburg, VT; her daughter Sharon Osgood, her husband Randy Osgood, of Meriden, NH; her son Stuart Stygles, his wife Laura Barber-Stygles of Vieques Puerto Rico, and Rebecca Stygles of WRJ, VT; two grandsons Joshua Osgood, his wife Amanda of Claremont, and Justin Osgood of Meriden, NH; four great-grandchildren Annabelle, William, Alexander and Willow; her sisters Patricia Fudge of New York, Linda Ouellette of Tenn. and Kathy Benjamin of VT; her brother Michael Liberty of Ohio; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Byron Liberty, and sisters Lorene Liberty-Curtis and Frances Jean Liberty.
There will be no services per her request.
