Lebanon, N.H. —
She was born on Nov. 1, 1923, in Tyngsborough, Mass., daughter of Raymond W. and Ethel (Queen) Sherburne.
She was raised in Tyngsborough, graduated from Winslow Grammar School, 1936, Lowell High School, 1940 and Simmons College, 1945. Following graduation from Simmons she worked for General Electric in Bridgeport, Connecticut for several years.
In 1949, she was married to Burt Bickford, of Rochester, N.H., also employed by General Electric. In 1954 they were transferred to Providence, R.I., and after 25 years in Rhode Island, they retired to Quechee, Vt. They moved to the Woodlands in Lebanon when it opened.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Lawrence and daughter-in-law, Helene of Hancock, N.H., James and daughter-in-law, Karen, of Manahawkin, N.J.; and two granddaughters, Allison (Chicago) and Whitney (Boston). She is also survived by several cousins, a niece and three nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Eleanor Riley and Marian Sherburne; and two brothers, Howard W. Sherburne and Russell K. Sherburne.
