Lebanon, N.H. — Maryann “Lisa” E. Sams, 71, passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sept. 21, 1945, to the late William & Margaret Chong. She grew up in Hawaii and Philadelphia, Pa. As a young lady she worked at her parents Chinese Restaurant. She later retired from work in retail sales. In 2009 she moved to Lebanon. She enjoyed collecting cookbooks and recipes, visiting flea markets, riding roller coasters and was an avid cat lover.

She is survived by her companion, Gordon Ashey III; a daughter, Mayling Casillas and her husband, Richard of Texas; a son, Alan Labovitz and his wife, Elaine of Pennsylvania; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Sams and spouse, Barbara; a niece, Melanie Davis and spouse, Roger of South Carolina; a nephew, Tom Sams and spouse, Mary; three grandchildren, Shannon Casillas, Nicole and Kailey Labovitz; her husband from previous marriage, Joel Labovitz. She was predeceased by husband Larry Sams and a grandson Landon Casillas.
