WEST LEBANON — A pilot attempting to land a small plane at Lebanon Municipal Airport on Tuesday afternoon skidded off the runway and came to rest in the grass on the edge of the runway.

The man, whose name hasn’t been released, wasn’t injured. The plane suffered minor damage, said Fire Chief Chris Christopoulos, who is also the interim airport manager.

It’s unclear what caused the mishap. The incident remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

The pilot is based out of the Lebanon airport, Christopoulos said.

The runway was slated to reopen Tuesday night.
